THE STORY OF TUG

Tug was a stray dog in Seremban 3. He was a loner, neutered but abandoned by his owner. His face showed lots of sadness and resentment towards humans.
Tug captured our hearts, seeing his physical pains affecting his ability to move with cuts on his legs. Being naive and new to the dog rescue world, we called a dog catcher to catch him and send him to the vet. We were told that the bill would surge to RM7,000 ……

We thought of him each day, perpetually finding and feeding him daily. The pain and the wounds were getting worse. We searched endlessly for him but could not find him. How far can he go…limping and enduring his tormentful pain.

TUG .. Continued

Not giving up we checked the whole area and the water cistern area. OMG ! there he was alone curled in a corner. With a little fight, we managed to get him to the vet.
The Vet informed us that his limb could not be saved and had to be amputated. It broke our hearts … blaming ourselves for not bringing him earlier. Not having any place to keep Tug, a friend helped to foster him. We cook daily to send food and feed him. Each day went by with medicine and food. Things had not improved and it was getting worse and it had spread to his body and nose too. The Vet mentioned that he was suffering in pain… and advised us to let him go … We held him close, hugged him and cried so much … and promised him that we would not let any dog go through what he had to endure… We pledged if we had a shelter, it would have a mini- clinic and name it after him… TUG’S VET… In memory of Tug.
